/PRZWT/At a time when the whole people are enthusiastic about reading, many parents have encountered similar problems: children read a lot, but their writing skills have not improved significantly. They are immersed in comics and humorous books all day long, making it difficult to read in depth, and they do not know how to systematically cultivate their children's literary taste ability.

In response to these common problems, the big coffee quality training camp proposes the reading concept of "expanding horizons through reading, nourishing expression through appreciation". Big coffee believes that the cultivation of literary appreciation needs to be gradual, through selected reading materials and scientific guidance, so that children can grow naturally in reading.

The following is a carefully selected list of 3 summer must-reads from the Big Coffee Quality Training Camp, which has helped more than 100,000 children improve their literary literacy, enhance their language expression, understanding and aesthetic power.

Fairy Tales and Fables: The First Literary Experience in the Enlightenment Stage

In the period of literary enlightenment in preschool, the core of reading education lies in cultivating children's reading interest and emotional cognitive ability. Classic fairy tales, with their warm and touching storylines and colorful imagination spaces, not only satisfy children's curiosity, but also shape children's emotional world and cognitive ability through vivid stories.

In terms of selected readings, we particularly recommend three representative classics: Andersen's collection of fairy tales conveys the warmth of human nature in pure imagination through touching stories such as "The Little Match Girl". "Aesop's Fables" use animals as the protagonists, and use short and concise fables to teach children to understand profound metaphors and symbols, and cultivate initial logical thinking ability. Beatrice Potter's "The Story of Peter Rabbit", with its beautiful text expression and fresh and elegant painting style, has become an excellent choice for bilingual enlightenment, laying the foundation for children's future language learning.

In our teaching practice, we have innovatively developed a "big coffee and small theater" interactive teaching model. Through role-playing activities, children can experience the storyline immersively and encourage children to use their imaginative imagination for creative writing practice. This immersive and experiential teaching method stimulates children's interest in reading, cultivates their creative thinking and expression ability, and forms a closed loop of learning from input to output.

Children's Literature: Systematic Cultivation of Appreciation Ability

The primary school stage is a golden age for cultivating literary appreciation. At this time, children are in a critical stage of transforming from figurative thinking to abstract thinking. They need to be guided to focus on the plot, gradually learn to appreciate language, analyze characters, and experience emotions.

In the book list selection, we carefully selected three representative classic works: E.B. White's "Charlotte's Web" has become the best model for emotional expression with its warm and touching friendship stories and beautiful and smooth words. Cao Wenxuan's "Grass House" uses poetic language to describe the feelings of the countryside, which can effectively cultivate children's sensitivity to the beauty of language. J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series leads children into the world of fantasy literature with its unimaginative imagination and exquisite story structure.

In teaching practice, special attention is paid to the close integration of reading and writing. For example, after studying "Grass House", children will be guided to analyze in depth the wonderful passages describing friendship in the text, and organize imitation activities, so that they can try to use similar poetic language to describe their own campus life. This closed-loop learning model of "reading-thinking-writing" effectively helps children transform reading accumulation into expression ability and achieve comprehensive improvement of literary literacy.

Poetry and Prose: Enhancing Aesthetic Realm

When children enter middle school, the focus of reading will shift to poetry and prose. At this time, children begin to understand the plot of the story, and gradually transition to appreciate the rhythmic beauty of language and the deep meaning of words, which is an important leap in literary appreciation ability.

In terms of selected reading materials, we particularly recommend: "Poems for Children" edited by Beidao, which brings together the essence of Chinese and foreign classic children's poetry, so that children can develop a keen sense of language in the catchy rhythm. Saint Exupery's "The Little Prince", a poetic philosophical fairy tale, explores the most profound life topics in the purest language. Lin Huiyin's "You are the April Day on Earth" allows children to appreciate the unique beauty of Chinese rhythm and artistic conception.

In our teaching practice, we have innovatively developed an interactive model of "reading poems, drawing poems, and writing poems". First, we guide children to recite poems with emotion, feel the musicality of language, and then encourage them to use brushes to describe the artistic conception created by poetry, concretize abstract words, and finally inspire children to create their own small poems, completing the complete process from input to output. This multi-dimensional experiential learning allows literary appreciation to no longer stay at the theoretical level, but to truly integrate into children's perceptual world.

The cultivation of literary appreciation ability is not only related to Chinese grades, but also affects children's ability to understand the world and express themselves. We firmly believe that through scientific reading guidance, every child can learn the power to grow in the world of literature. These three types of books can not only improve children's literary appreciation ability, but also cultivate their lifelong reading habits and expression ability, like a beacon, guiding children to discover the beauty of language.
